Show ' HIM WEBER STAKE HAS BASKETBALL LEAGUE In the interest of indoor athletics in the North Weber stake, the athletics athlet-ics committee of the Young Men's Mutual Improvement association scake board has organized a stake basketball league. The league is composed com-posed of six teams, the wards represented repre-sented being the Ogden Third, Marriott Mar-riott and Taylor, in the south division, divi-sion, and Lynne, Harrisville and Plain City, in the north. Schedules have been arranged for the season in both divisions and are as follows: South: Marriott vs. Taylor, at Taylor January Janu-ary 27. inira wara vs. Aiarrioit, at Marriott, Mar-riott, February 4. Taylor vs. Third ward, at Third ward. February 11. Taylor vs. Marriott, at Marriott, February IS. Marriott vs. Third ward, at Third ward, February 25. Third ward vs. Taylor, at Taylor, March 3. North : Plain City vs. Lynne, at Lynne, January 28. Lynne vs. Haxrisville, at Harrisville, Harris-ville, February 4. Harrisville vs. Plain City, at Plain City, February 12. On a date within the two weeks following fol-lowing the final game in tho two divisions, di-visions, it is planned by the stake board, to hold an indoor athletic tournament. The principal feature of this will be a game between the two division champion basketball teams, to decide the stake championship. Other athletic contests and a boy scout demonstration will also be included in-cluded hi the program. no |
