The first half ends with June, we call it the "Spring Sea- I son." The second half begins with the first of August, we call it the "Fall Season." July and I January are the dividing months, we call them "Clearance Seasons " I I On the first of July we "clear the decks" and prepare for the "Fall Season." The "Spring Season" - is finished, as far as the store is concerned. On the first day of August every department must be j in ship shape for the new season. The month of July, therefore, is Clearance Time. The rem- 1 nants of all those stocks which were brought for the Spring Season, must be closed out. Good a merchandising provides that all merchandise be sold "in the season thereof." I ' ...-'..' Profits have been figured on the merchandise bought for spring. All remaining stocks are looked upon as remnants." Costs will not be l considered very largely now. These remnant stocks must be sold that is merely a question of price and the price which will. effect the '1 clearance, is the price to be used. ' - I'l A. Tuesday morning this "Mid-Year" clearance begins. Very attractive indeed, are the stocks now to be moved. JVe promise youjthat dur- I ing the month of July, you hear a lot of favorable comment on Wrights' July Clearance Sales. ... i .... . t . r.- I W.
