Show THANKSGIVING DAY OBSERVED BY THE CHURCHES A Union Thanksgiving service was held this morniug from 10:30 o'clock until noon in the First Congregational church. The church was prettily decorated with palms and ferns and the service was largely attended The program was carried out under the direction of Rev. F. G. Brainerd. pastor pas-tor of the First Congregational church, and Rev. H. D. Zimmerman. Rev. G. I V Rassweiler and Rev. J. E Carver acted as ushers. The sermon was delivered by Rev. Brainerd and was an expression of dep thought along temporal and spir itual lines, bringing out to all present many reasons for thankfulness for ingfl received.
