Show BOXELDER PARTIES AGREE ON FUSION Brigham City. Aug 3. Boxelder 1 county Democrats met today and de I tided to fuse with the Progressives i in the coming county election. The meeting was well attended. The first I thing done was the selection of a com mittee of eight to meet with the com-I com-I mittee recently named by the Progres- slves to reach an agreement whereby the two parties would divide up the offices. The Democrats selected E M. Tyson, Ty-son, John D Peters, W. L Eddy of Brigham, A R. Carpener of Garland. Elias Anderson of Tremonton, W. H Anderson of Bear River W. W. W L Grover of Garland, James H Hess of Fielding Field-ing and E. A Grandprc of Wlllard After a brief debate on the question of fusion by the committee, the division di-vision of the offices was decided upon The Democrats will nominate a representative rep-resentative to the legislature, a two-year two-year county commissioner, sheriff, county attorney and recorder. The Progressives will nominate a four year-term county commissioner, county coun-ty clerk, treasurer, count v assessor and surveyor The date for holdlnc the two coun ty conventions was fixed upon by the committees for Saturday, September 12 It is understood that the two conventions will assemble separately and select candidates for the offices, according to the arrangements made by the committees today |
