Miss Gladys Mjsgrave entertained the members of her sewing club at her home, 626 Twenty-seventh Btreel Tuesday During the evening selections, selec-tions, both classical and ragtime, were rendered by Miss Hortense Slinlster and Miss Gladys Musgrave, two popular pop-ular young ladles, who are wall known in musical circles. At 10 o'clock a delicious luncheon was served serv-ed by the hostess after which future plans for the club were discussed. Those present wore: Misses Hortense Hor-tense Slralstcr, GladyB Musgrave, Susie Su-sie SImlster, Rhodn Dye, Mamie Anderson, An-derson, Lllen Dee, Stella Sinister. Jessie Jes-sie Anderson, Mesdamea Byrou Dee, Leo Bhagme and H. C Musgrave. RECEPTION AND ENTERTAINMENT ENTERTAIN-MENT COMPLETE SUCCESS. More than one hundred ladles attended at-tended the reception and entertainment entertain-ment given by the Democratic-Progressive Women's club of this city vetsterday afternoon at the home of Mrs William Ecele, 2665 Jefferson avenue. About twenty ladies from Salt Lake were present, among thorn being Mrs II J. Hayward, president of the Women's Democratic club of 'that city; Mrs. Cohen, Mrs. James H. Moyie, Mrs. Simon Bamberger, - , . f-HI Mrs James H. Mays and Mrs. John E. Clark. From 3 until 6 o'clock the ladles of Ogden were receled and entertained at the beautiful Ecclcs' home by Mrs, H. H Spencer, president of the club, who was assisted by Mrs Alfred Stevenson, Ste-venson, first vice president; Mrs -V W, 'Putnam, secretary, Mesdames Edward Ed-ward Birhsel, J. M. Forrlstall. J. W. Bailey. W. D. W. Zeller. C. Beverldge, George Oreenwoll, Chris Flygare, P. S. Eldredgc, S. T Whitaker. Joseph Wallace. Mary Farley, Willis Batch-elor, Batch-elor, Joseph Chez, C. E. Coulter, S S. Smith and J T. Lynch Although plans were not made for addresses of any kind, short talks were given by Mrs. H. J. Hayward and Mrs Elizabeth Cohen of Salt Lake Mrs Hayward told of the excellent work being done by the Salt Lake club and praised the local club for Its marked enthusiasm Mrs, Hayward also spoke of the needs of the legislation composing the platform plat-form pledges of the Democrats and Progressives. Readings were given by Moroni Olsen and Mrs. Kathryn Bassett Pardee Par-dee and were appreciated by everyone every-one present Miss Maude Zeimer at the piano, and Miss Lillian M Thatcher, one of Ogden's charming violinists, delight ed those present with a number of well chosen musical numbers. Vocal solos were given by Mrs. Fred G Clark and Mrs C H. Stevens, and piano selections bv Miss Lillian Wright and Miss Beatrice Brewer In addition to the program delicious home-made cake and coffee was served. The affair was declared the most successful political undertaking ever held by women In this city.
