Show PEACE PARADE WILL HAVE 10 LOCAL BANDS The arrangements for the Peace Day program to be held at Lester park tomorrow, were completed last night when Lon J. Haddock of Salt Lake City accepted the Invitation of the committee to be the speaker of the day. The plans for the parade, which is to precede the program at the park, are also complete The parade is to form at Adams avenue ave-nue and Twenty-fifth street and move at 2 p m. along Twenty-fifth street to Washington, going north to Twenty-third street, countermarching to Twenty-sixth and back to Twenty-fifth thence east to Looter Park. The first division will be headed by the A. F. of M. band, with the persons who will participate in the program and the city commissioners in auto mobiles Immediately following Then will come the Goddess of Peace and her attendants and children of different differ-ent ages carrying banners will follow Next in line will come the Red Cross division and this will be followed fol-lowed by the club women of (W,cn, the members of Dlx-Logan Post, G. A. R , the W. R. C. Ladles of the G. A. R. the local W C T. U , and the Daughters of the Pioneers The second division will be headed by the Industrial School band, folio .v-ed .v-ed by the students of the Weber acad emy, the Ogden high school and the three junior high schools, all organized organ-ized societies and private citizens i The general public is invited to participate par-ticipate In the parade and will line up in the second division. The program at Lester park will be as follows: Selection Ogden band. Invocation Rev. Frank G. Brain erd. Chorus "Utah Star of the West," Tabernacle chorus. Reading of president's peace message mes-sage Moroni Olson. Selection Industrial band. Address Lon J Haddock. Release of Dove of Peace. "Star Spangled Bnnner." The chorus, which will furnish two numbers, will consist of sixteen voices voi-ces and has been rehearsing during the week under the direction of Prof Joseph Ballantyne The public will be expected to join in the singing of the "Star Spangled Banner, ' and the singing will be accompanied by the Industrial School band. Arrangements have been made for a Red Cross table at the park, at which contributions for the Injured and destitute people of the warring I European nations may be left during I the service. r r |
