Show UrS, EXPRESS TO WIND UP AFFAIRS Directors Meet in New York to Decide Future of Company. New York, March 13 The directors direc-tors of the United States Express company met here today to make official of-ficial decision as to the future of the company. It was expected that the meeting would complete the plans already al-ready made for winding up the com pany's affairs. The liquidating committee as agreed on early in the day, consisted consist-ed of Charles A. Peabody, president of the Mutual Life Insurance company com-pany and a representative and adviser ad-viser of the Harriman interests; William Wil-liam A. Reed, W. Averill Harriman, Eugene Delano and Haley Fisk. The late E. E, Harriman bought more than 22,000 shares of the United Unit-ed States Express company stock from tho Adams and American Express Ex-press companies, and his estate holds about half of the total Issue of 100,-000 100,-000 shares. no |
