Show RELICS OF AARON BURR HOUSE FOUND New York. Dec. 11. Remnants of Aaron Rurr's famous Richmond hill house are being uncovered by wrock-, wrock-, ore who are tearing down some an-I an-I cicnt buildings on the east side of Varlck street In order to widen the thoroughfare. The old Burr place, In iU later years, was used as a theater thea-ter and at one time rose to the dignity dig-nity of an opera house Years ago. It passed the uses of a stable It Is this structure that is now being torn down, revealing fresco work which is said to have formed a part of the old theater decorations An old resident of the vicinity ex-hlnlts ex-hlnlts a play bill of the old theater vhen It was known as Miss Nelson's theater. In 1836 Miss Annette Haw-ley Haw-ley Nelson was a popular actress manager there for many years In Contrast to present prices and opening open-ing hours, the bill shows that performances per-formances began then as early as 7 o ciock, while prices for the best box seats were only fifty cents. |
