Show PROCEEDINGS IN THE POLIGE GOURT TODAY Joe Morris, a drunk, was given a six months' suspended sentence in police court this morning, by Judge William H. Reeder. Morris was arrested ar-rested at 6 p. m yesterday by Patrolman Pa-trolman John RtiBsell on Wail a'enue, between Twenty-ninth and Thirtieth streets. DeLong Borus, a Greek, pleaded not guilty to the charge o! disturbing the peace, and his trial was set for Tuesday morning. His bail was set at $50. Jack Probst, known as "Hophead Jack," pleaded guilty to the charge of vagrancy. He was arrested in the room of Fred Wlddows, the man who confessed to robbing the residence of Mrs. T. J. Fitzgerald. He explained his presence in the room by saying that he didn't have a stove In his own room and that Wlddows had gU-en gU-en him permission to stay with him. His case was taken under advlsemoti'. 'Detective George Wardlaw and Sergeant Ser-geant H. C. Peterson secured a written writ-ten confession from Fred Wlddows this morning and he will be placed on trial Monday morning. Joe Kuhn appeared before Judge E. T. Hulanlski in the municipal court this morning and waB sentenced to pay a fine of $50 or to serve 50 days in Jail. Kuhn was convicted yesterday yester-day of the charge of resisting an officer. offi-cer. William Harcombe, Kuhn's attorney Immediately filed a notice of appeai and an appeal bond for a new trial In the district court, and Kuhn was released re-leased pending action on the appeal. |
