Show COUNTRY ROME M FIRE IN EARLY MORNING While In their front yard attending a sick horse Mrs O F Tucker nni hr-r brother discovered that the home at at 6L'4 Twenty-first street was od fire. Without attempting to o; 1 1 the fire department, they quickly attached 1 he lawn hose to the tank that stores the water for the country hom and began the flcht against the flames By the time the heavy thunderstorm started, with Its downpour of rain, they had succeeded In smothering tho blaze, but not until about $?.00 damage dam-age had been done to the house and contents. The fire started in the sitting room and Its spread was aided by a number num-ber of dresses Mrs Tucker had placed on the center table The fire Is supposed to have started start-ed from a Rayo burner Mr. Tucker, who is an engineer, was out on the Southern Pacific (p Nevada at the time of the fire. The loss is covered by insurance |
