Show SUDDEN DEATH NEWS CAME AS A SHOCK TO COMMUNITY she had been ailing for a longtime long time body to be brought to ogden word was received from salt lake city that mrs joseph peery died at 6 this morning mrs pecery had been in ill health for a number of years and had submitted to surgical operations without relief her sickness had caused the family to remove to salt lake where mrs peery could be with her folks although she had long been ailing the news of the death came as a sur shock to mrs many friends in this city the body will be shipped to ogden for burial while asleep and peacefully and without pain mrs luacine peery wife of joseph S peery and daughter of judge and irs enos D hoge of salt lake died at a m in the fifth east hotel at salt lake funeral services are to be held at 2 p m wednesday in the funeral chapel of the evans undertaking parlors at salt lakee at 4 p m wednesday tiie body will be shipped to ogden and burled in the ogden city cemetery for seven years mrs peery was an invalid she suffered of a tumor leakage of the heart and brights disease either of which brings death twice she was taken to chicago where specialists cia lists attempted to alleviate her suffering and twice to california but despite the ministering of friends and the skill of physicians she gradually grew weaker until she requested that she be taken to salt lake where she could be near her parents the removal was made in october mrs peery was born september 16 1876 in salt lake she was a beautiful girl and held in the highest esteem by her friends and acquaintances in 1890 she graduated from rowland hall and then attended school in tennessee it was while engaged in charitable work as president of the ladles aid society that she met mr peery they were married july 20 1898 no children survive judge and mrs hoac and one brother reside in salt lake when the body arrives in ogden it will be escorted from the depot to tho cemetery by friends and relatives on account of her refinement cheerful disposition and thoughtfulness thoughtful nes s mrs ceory was loved by a wide circle of friends in ogden |
