Do the people of Bingham Canyon really want a community park? A park filled with everything that goes to make it a place Where one can go and spend the day, a place where both old and young might find plenty of real entertainment. ' (, The thought of having a community park for Bingham Canyon is not a new one, as several have been working on the idea for thp past two years, but at a meeting held at the Utah Copper offices a sboip while ago, the idea became a reality when the Utah Copper Company announced it would donate $5,000 as a starter for the building of such a place. Plans for the new park have been submitted, and according to E. M. Gaythwaite, chairman of , the committee in charge, an expenditure of $11,000 will be needed to complete it, thus leaving a total of $6,00 to be raised by the people of the camp. ) The new park will cover an area of 10 acres which adjoins the Utah Copper ball park, and according to present plans will be laid out in walks and lawns at the very outset, with many features to be added. - The water question, which for a time threatened the abandoning of the movement was solved a short time ago when Otto Kapelle offered a bounteous boun-teous water supply from his wells and reservoir, which would be piped to the proposed park. According to those in charge there is ample supply for many years to come. With the six thousand dollars yet to be raised by the, people of the camp, the park becomes more of a reality each day as opinions are asked, as every one seems to be in favor of the movement. The park when completed will be one of the finest in the state as it will contain a wonderful playground for the children, with much modern equipment, and a much needed feature will be the installation of two swimming pools with a possibility of two more if warranted. Tennis courts will also be installed according to present plans. ' .
