railroading IN AND OUT OF are now al work opening up the grade from st anthony on towards marksville marysville Marys ville along the line ot ahe proposed pio posed branch being built by the oregon short line railroad to the edge ot the yellowstone Yellows tono park for several ears there has been a steady increase in to the park and during the past season the stage accommodations were taxed to their utmost and the above change was decided upon definitely although it has been under contemplation tor the past live years not only will this road be patronized by passenger travel but there are other inducements which will justify the building 0 the road which will run through fine farming country the country surrounding the southwest corner ot the paik is considered the richest in wyoming and a fine agricultural community will be the result when the road la completed the track is almost straight with only a one per cent grade to contend with southern pacific train no 3 was considerably behind schedule time in leaving ogden tah morning the train was held tor connections with the union pacific from which cars are received for the west this train Is due to leave at but did not leave until 1110 a m the union pacific train due to arrive at a ro reached ogden at 1016 a m the causo of the delay being due to tho train being late leaving omaha from which point it io made up and also to the fact that the engine which brought the train into ogden gave considerable trouble and could not make the usual fast time ian s ind mary agad 0 y respectively arrived in ogden unattended last evening their mother d off of the iraik at salt lake to purchase some fruit and got left depot master john keating wa mired to meet tl children which ha did and kept them in charge until tha arrival of thi mother the work on the nevada northern the branch road out of cobre nevada to the mining camp of ely nevada is making busy scenes around cobre these days there are about one hundred camps extending along the bouto to ely pound rail is bein placed A few miles of road has already been constructed the work oa the yards at cobre is also progressing rapidly the main rack a coal track and a wye to be bcd in turning the engines have already been completed at cobre the ditch which is to carry the water supply for this road has been completed and tha work of laying the pipe line com fenced
