Show ON WITNESS STAND makes sensation in court by charging plaintiff with something akin to murder boston sept 12 in the supreme court here today judge morton denied an injunction sought by louis rahn of brique urique mexico against thomas W lawson of this city in a suit involving tho court devoted tho entire day to the case among the witnesses was mr lawson and his testimony at one stage was of an eu mature he caused a sensation in the courtroom by making the assertion that mr rahn was responsible tor the death of superintendent gilbert johnson who was fatally stabbed at the lawson mines in mexico last july mr lawson qualified his statement by saying he did not charge rahn with the actual murder but claimed that he stood by and did not lift a hand in johnsons defense the plaintiff was on the witness stand tbt defendants attorney asked mr lawson if he was not a mining expert abo witness declared that he was not and that in fact he had never seen a mine rahn who is socking to have lawson held to a specific performance of contracts for the formation and financing ol 01 the lawson company of mexico sought a temporary injunction to restrain lawson from disposing of the machinery and property of tho company at its silver and gold mines at brique urique and also from disposing of its clock his claim wa that lawdon had not kept bis part of the agreement to furnish to finance the concern and to issue shares to the plaintiff and to lawson and them in a safe deposit vault there to stay for ten years lawson claimed that the breach of agreement was on the side ot rahn because the options transferred under the agreement did not include full and complete title to the mines in addition sir lawson claimed to have advanced cash and had assumed obligations on account of the venture in excess of the called for by the contract counsel for mr lawson before the taking of testimony said there was no desire on the part of the defendant to mako any disposition of the stock of the lawson company and that stipulation to that effect would bo filed by them for mr lawson the court then announced that it would decline to issue the injunction asked for by rahn |
