Show uo WORKING ON THE CITY STREETS City Commissioner J C. Nye stales that stroet work Is progressing. A large force of the street force Is busy Just now removing stone blocks at the Intersections of Twenty-third. Twenty- fourth and Tent -fifth streets to make room for the asphalt pavlug crew of P. J. Moran. The commissioner states that he has not yet determined as to fho shall be, appointed to fill the position of street j supervisor, a vacancy having been occasioned oc-casioned by the sudden death of the late L. D. Dalch. but that It will not be a groat while before a decision will be arrived at. In the meantime, C II. Martin Is attending to the general overlng of the work. Some of the stone blocks taken from the troct Intersections are belns placed at the southwest corner of the city cemetery on Twentloth street, to nerve as a retaining wall for the high cmbankmont there.
