Show COCAINE IN A CHINESE JOINT The 'hang-out" of Joe Wing, on the second floor of the building at 251 Twenty-fifth street, was raided this afternoon at 3 o'clock by Detectives Detec-tives George Wardlam and Charles Pincock, who caught a '"dope" fiend leaving the place with a package of "coke" concealed under the sweat-band sweat-band of his hat. They captured the man as he stepped out of the door of the "joint" and started to leave the place. Tho detectives entered the room at once and searched Joe Wing, the aged tenant of the place, finding nothing on his person except a largo number of twenty-ve and glfty-ceni pieces of American money. Under the pillow of his hunk, on which a "hop" layout reposed. Detective Wardlaw found a package of "coke," which was taken along with the "hop" layout and a can of "hop" as evidence. Wing denies that he sold the man anything, but the man states that he bought the cocaine from the Chinaman, China-man, who Is notorious m police circles cir-cles for his questionable actions at times. Despite his protestations, Wing was taken to the police station sta-tion along with the "dope" fiend. |
