Havemeyer, the sugar magnate, a premium of eighty per cent above par to obtain control of the Utah Sugar company, according to testimony today to-day of 'Thomas R. Cutler, general manuger of the Utah-fdaho Sugar company, In the government suit to dissolve the so-called sugar trust. Ho said ho sold Mr. Havemeyer 74.-000 74.-000 shares of stock In the Utah concern con-cern at $1S a share. This was in tho spring of 1902. he said, and the par vuluo was $10-. "I went to New York from Utah," Mr Cutler continued , "nnd talked matters over with Mr, Havemeyer. First, he would not listen to our proposition prop-osition to sell him half the stock, and wanted to hire mo to work for him.
