Show MRS. C00L5DGE CANDIDATE FOR BOARD Mrs. Clayton CcoUdgo, residing at 2344 Grant avenue, is a candidate for the city school board from the Third ward Mru. Coolidgc Is a former for-mer school teacher and is deeply Interested In-terested in school work. In an Interview In-terview this afternoon Mrs. Cool-Idge Cool-Idge said: "My friends have been after me for some time to become a candidate for the school board and I have decided decid-ed to enter the race. Through my past experience as a teacher in the Ogden schools I have become famil-' Jar with the needs of the schools and the children, and I believo that this experience would prove a useful asset to the board. "For a number of years the board has been made up of business men of the city and some of them have been zo busy at limes that their business busi-ness suffered Nov, while 1 believe that business men are absolutely necessary nec-essary to the work of managing the school system, yet I believe that there should be a woman on the board who understands the schools from the viewpoint of the teachers. I have been Interested In the schools and school children for many years and bel'eve that through my school experience expe-rience I can serve the city well, if elected " |
