Show START CONSTRUCTION OF INTERBURBAN LINE Provo, Nov. 22. A large force of men and teams has started work to construct the gTade for thc Utah Railway company's track a distance of ten miles up Spanish Fork canyon. can-yon. The final surveys have been made, and instead of running south of Thistle and up Huntington canyon can-yon the company will conlinuo to tho east and north of tho Denver & Rio Grande tracks to Mill Fork, at which point it will cross toward the Price and Enicry county coal fields. According to tho flngincers, tho grade will be a heavy on, and at Thistle tho company will bore a tunnel tun-nel for over 500 feet through the mountains. This will be thc longest tunnel on the line. Tho right of way committee is still at work on the Mapleton bench and other points along the line. The members report conditions favorable for securing thc necessary ground. As soon as this Is secured, grading contracts will be let extending the road as far as Sprlngvillc. |
