Dllllng was i completed last night, It was apparent ;!. that the recall movement had failed. X Although sufficient names -were found Invalid to force the calling of the elec-j elec-j tlon, there have been filed more than 500 applications for withdrawals of names, and 500 more are readv to bo t filed tomorrow, so the Dllllng de-4 de-4 fense committee asserts, Friends of the recall aro contem- plating an effort to enjoin the wlth- drawal of these names. If the with- drawals can be prevented the recall J election must be called; otherwise the movement finally failed. |
