Show RAILS PURCHASED FOR COAL ROAD P. C. Kittle yesterday purchased 6C0 tons of rails for the now coal railroad In Grand county that la to carry tho coal from the mines of tho American Fuel company to the mam. lino of tho Denver & Rio Grande. The rails, which were purchased from tho Salt Loko Houto, are sufficient for sovou miles of track The line from Thompson's Thomp-son's to Ballard, which Is to bo put in by the cool company, is about five miles in length, so that thoro are plenty of rolls for sidings. "All the surveys for the railroad havo beon made," said Air. Kittlo yesterday, yes-terday, "and construction will be atartod soon. We have a force of mon at work developing the mlnlny property now and will bo delivering coal in a few months. The road will be known as the Thompson's & Ballard Bal-lard railroad, Thompson's being the connecting point with the Denvor & Rio Grande. Among those who are Interested in tho coal company and the railroad are B. F. Bauer, H. S. Auorbach, R. F. Neslen, P. C. Kittle, Henry Conn and L. W. Hahn. |
