Show 00 REMODELING THE CITY HALL Tho city board of commissioners this morning held a brief session during dur-ing which they allowed a number of claims of minor Importanco and passed pass-ed an ordinance fixing the bond of the deputy treasurer at $10,000. During the past few days painters and carpenters have been busy following fol-lowing instructions regarding tho remodeling re-modeling of tho city hall to accommodate accom-modate tho city officers. The original orig-inal plan has been changed somewhat in that it is now decided that Major Fell will occupy the two rooms formerly for-merly used by tho waterworks department de-partment and Commissioner Browning Brown-ing will occupy tho room formerly occupied oc-cupied by the municipal Judge. The vacant space on tho second floor in the lobbyway to the commissioners' chamber will be partitioned off and made Into an office for the municipal Judce. - 71 was expected nt one tlmo that thr offices of tho city board of education educa-tion would be transferred to the sub-high sub-high school building and tho city hall quartors used for offices for employes em-ployes In the building, but that has been abandoned. oo |
