Show PHYSICIANS OPPOSE THE NEW LIQUOR LAW Logan, June 10. The physicians of this "section dre not very partial to the new liquor law and have made that fact, plain. There was a mooting here last evening of the Cache county Medical Med-ical society and the matter discussed was tho law and tho power It gives to physicians to provide the means of obtaining liquor legally. They agreed that they would be against the law and they passed the following resolution: "The Cache Valley Medical society, In special session assembled, not wishing wish-ing to express an opinion either lor or against prohibition, do hereby unanimously un-animously state their belief that tho Utah liquor law throws too great re-' sponsibility on the physician in giv- Ing him the solo right to prescribe liquor. Therefore the members of this society refuse to write prescriptions prescrip-tions for liquor for any person or persons, except in those cases which we are visiting and treating in our regular practice, and such prescriptions prescrip-tions will be charged for. at the regular reg-ular prescription fee " |
