Show QJOCIETY BARROWS- PARSONS. One of the pretty home weddings of the past week occurred at the homo of Mr. and Mrs. H. M Barrows when Bishop Henry W. Gwllllam united In marriage their daughter, Elizabeth S. Barrows, and Oluf A. Parsons. The homo was made especially attractive at-tractive for the o((casijon. In the parlor white and green prevailed and under a canopy of fqrns and bridal wreath the bridal party took their places. The bride, charming in a gown of white embroidered marquisette marqui-sette nnd carrying a shower bouquet of bride's roses was accompanied by Mrs. Ralf. R. Wooloy of Salt Lake. Mrs. Wooley were a handsome tan marquisette over blue taffeta and carried car-ried a shower ibouquet of pink roses. Tho groom in conventional black was attended by Mr. Ralf R, Wooley. Seventy-five guests were present, a goodly number being from Salt Lake and Brigham City. Throughout tho evening an orchestra furnished a fine musical program and punch was served. Tho dining room was effectively decorated in pink. A beautiful center-iplece center-iplece of pink carnations graced the dining table and festoons of ribbon from the chandelier to the corners of the tablo added to the (beauty of the handsome table appointments. Delicious Delic-ious and tempting refreshments were scrvea. Many 'beautiful gifts were offered together with warm congratulations and best wishes for future happiness and prosperity. PLEASANT SURPRISd. On Tuesday evening, June G, members mem-bers of the Central Park Presbyter-Ian Presbyter-Ian church, and friends surprised Rev. and Mrs. S. C. C. Hickman at their home, corner Thirty-first and Adams avenue. The evening was spent in social chat and music. Both vocal and Instrumental selections were rendered. ren-dered. Mr. and Mrs. Hickman have won many friends, during the past two years of which ho has been pastor of the Central Park church, and in token of love and the high esteem in which they are held by all, a beautiful beau-tiful silver after-dinner' coffee set,' and cake tray was presented them. Mr. and Mrs. Hickman responded re-sponded to the presentation with appropriate remarks, which will ever be remembered by all present. FAREWELL PARTY Thursday evening a farewell party was given In honor of Miss Leomla Uetzler, ono of the June brides-to-be, at her home, 561 Twenty-ninth street, by the Utah Independent telephone girls. The rooms woro attractively decorated in pink and white. Games, songs, instrumental music and the merriest of good times wore enjoyed. Prizes wore awarded, Miss Bertha Hellewell receiving first prize. Delicious Deli-cious refreshments were served. A beautiful sliver nut bowl and a silver berry spoon were presented Miss Hetzler as a token of tho love and esteem of the telephone girls, with whom she has been a sweet and companionable co-worker during the past five years. D. Tribe. SOUTHERN-WILSON. Thursday evening President C. F. Middleton united in marriage Miss Violet Southern o' Salt Lake and Al Wilson of this city. Following tho nuptial ceremony a wedding supper to which a goodly number of friends were bidden was given at the homo of Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Frost and a memorable evening replete with the usual congratulations and happy responses re-sponses was had. OPEN-AIR PARTY Tuesday afternoon, June G, Mrs. W. T. Astill gave the pupils of the Fifth grade at the Sacred Heart Academy, among whom were her two daughters, daugh-ters, Rose and Willa, an open-air party at Liberty park.
