Show uo QUIET HUNT FOR TRAIN ROBBERS For the past two days the moc-ments moc-ments of the officers working on tho Overland Limited train robbery havo beon veiled by ofllclal reticence and the uncertainty of silence now hangs over tho case. The local police and detectives are devoting less time to tracing down clues 'than they were a few days ago, but there is still some work being done from the sheriff's office. of-fice. At the prcsent'timc, however, tho principal effort tocapture the outlaws Is being made by the detectives of the railroad and the Pinkerton agency. Supeiintendent T. F. Rowlands of the Southern Paciilc states that he is still confident the bandits will be ap prehended and that none of the railroad rail-road officials have lost confidence in the eventual capture of the robbers Detective Jones of- the Oregon Short .Line is la charge of the railroad officers offi-cers at work on the case. Detective Wilsie of the Pinkerton company is working independent of alllother forces. Those at work on the robbery hold to the tucoiy that the men aro still in Ogden. nn |
