Show Mwderer To Die In ElecLric Chair FREEHOLD. N. J", April 18 Frank Hcldemann, a German laborer, was found guilty by a Jury here this afternoon of murdering twelve-year-old Marie Smith near Asbury Park last November and was sentenced to die In the electric chair at Trenton within the week beginning May 22. Tho prisoner staggered ns sentence was pronounced, and with difficulty kept himself from falling: Heldcmanu was convicted mainly on his old coldblooded cold-blooded confession. Tho Jury was out less than three hours beforo returning return-ing a verdict of murder in the first degree. Counsel sought to prove the defendant domented, but without nvall FREEHOLD. N J., April 18. "This Is to certify that I. tho undersigned, murdered Marie Smith at Asbury Park N. J.. November 9. (Signed.) Frank E. Heldemann." This document was signed It was testified.
