Show oo ROOSEVELT IS A PKOORESSIYE Los Angeles, March 2i. Col. Theodore Theo-dore Roosevelt and party arrived In Los Angeles from Phoonlx, Ariz., by special train today. They wore mei Rt tho railroad station by a reception committee named by Go. Johnson, and headed by Meyor Lissnor of Los Angelas, chairman of tho Republican state central committee. Col. Roosevelt Roose-velt will remain in southern California Califor-nia two days, proceeding then to San Francisco. At the depot Mayor Alexander headed head-ed a reception committee of 100 citizens citi-zens and extended to the ex-president formal welcome to tho city. Col. Roosevelt responded In a lew words. Tho party entered automobiles and was driven to the building of tho Young Men's Christian association, where Col. Roosevelt addressed the members. During his ride through the streets tho sidewalks wore lined with pooplo who cheered him and shouted informal words of welcome. Among tho crowds wero hundreds of school children, who waved flags and banners. ban-ners. In the address at tho Y. M. C. A Col. Roosevelt paid a high trlbunte to tho work of tho association.
