Show TBOY VICTIM OF M ACC iDENTS There Is a strange coincidence In connection with the ctreet car accident acci-dent on Wall avenue Sunday "forenoon "fore-noon In the fact that tho young man who figured promlnontly In the mla-hap mla-hap was Frank Varney, a lG-y car-old hoy who has been In more serious accidents ac-cidents during his brief years than moBt people experience in a lifetime. Varney, accompanied by a boy named nam-ed Anderson, was Grivlng the Corey horse, which lungod Into a street car and sustained injuries which made it necessary to kill the animal. Both of tho occupants of the buggy were thrown to the ground, but escaped even the slightest Injury. A few years ago the" Varnoy boy wa3 In an accident which resulted In the fracture of hia collar bone and an Injury to both legB. Tho second mishap mis-hap came last summer and almost cost him his life, when ho fell into a scalding vat at the Banner company's com-pany's plant. He never entirely recovered re-covered from this. Had tho old adage of "third time Is the charm" proved true, Varney would have been killed last Sunday. |
