Show REBEL GENERAL AT CAPITAL. Safe Conduct Given Leader Who Discusses Dis-cusses Peace With Limantour. MEXICO CITY. May 3, Anticipating Anticipat-ing the signing of terras of peace by Dr. Vasquez Gomoz and Judge Car-bajal, Car-bajal, Ambroslo Flgueroa arrived in tho capital today, accompanied by Colonel Fausto Bcltrnn to discuss terms of an armistice with the department de-partment of war Five days ago these two men faced j each other in tho field, but left their j positions of their own accord and began be-gan negotiations for an armistice pending the ponclusion of the peace conference on the frontier. Terms wore agreed upon, but the war department de-partment refused its sanction. Good advice prevailed, however, and safe conduct to the capital was promised the revolutionary leader. This afternoon the federal colonel nnd the rebel chief talked over the situation with Minister Limantour and General Cosio, minister of war. Flgueroa refused tonight to tell the details of the conference, but in of- ficlal quarters tho opinion was expressed ex-pressed that an arrangement would be reached. Flgueroa is a brother of Prudcncio Flgueroa, the man commissioned commis-sioned general by Madero nnd placed In command of tho Insurrectos In Morolos, Guerrero, Puebla and Oax-aca. Oax-aca.
