R club of the First Methodist church was given In the parlors of the church last evening and pioved a mobt successful affair There were four three-round boxing contests between members of the club and this was followed by a six-round six-round hattlo royal The next ovent was something new in tho athletic line, it being termed a siege. This was participated in by two teams of six bojs each. The object ob-ject of the siege was for one team to forcibly eject the members of the other team from a wrestling mat It developed plentj of healthful excr ciso In addition to much amusement Four grappler members of the club entertained with four-m'.nuto wrestling wrest-ling bouts Tho participants In the wrestling were V Stnith and R Sraurthwalto. Harold Brummitt and S. Heninger Fred Preslmw acted as referee of all contests. The athletics wero followed by a round of "eats." |
