Show PROSPEROUS CITIES ON COAST City Councilman Horace Peery and wife have returned from a pleasure tour of the northwest country, well pleased with their trip. They have beon away from home for the past three weeks, during: which timo they visited Portland, Seattle, Vancouver, San Francisco and other important cities of the coast. The trip was an enjoyable one, said Mr. Peery, and, while ho was hont on pleasure, in the main, he says that his observation rogardlng commercial conditions caused him to form well fixed ideas of the northwest. "I am well pleased with that section sec-tion of country," saldi Mr. Peorv, "so much so that I feol that I should' like to llvo there Portland and Vancouver Vancou-ver are making great strides In ev-ory ev-ory commercial way and thero Is no question that they will soon become great cities. In these towns they are building numerous buildings that reach almost to tho sky, being from ten to fifteen stories- high and well equipped In every respect tor business purposes They are building hotels there, too, that are creditable and will be amply large to accommodate the influx in-flux of people now on.
