Here's the report on it: The driver's view of the crossing was clear and unobstructed for a distance of three miles. Flashing light signals warned of the approach ap-proach of a train. But the driver, with two passengers passen-gers drove onto the crossing. Result- Two occupants of the car killed, one injured, car wrecked and train delayed. The surviving passenger of the car said the three were sober and were not drowsy from tiredness-but tiredness-but had been talking. In other words, distraction of the driver by conversation with passengers blinded him to deadly danger, even though his eyesight I was good.
