Show i Hangar Contract Ace S. Raymond Submits Low Bid of $23,417 Work will begin immediately on a new 100 by 120 foot concrete hangar at the (Logan-Cache airport air-port by Ace a Raymond, Logan contractor, it was reported today j by Logan City Engineer Erwin U. Moser. The contract for the construction was awarded to Mr. Raymond Wednesday at a joint meeting of the Logan City and Cache county commissioners. Mr. Raymond's low bid was $23,417 for the hangar to 'be constructed with reinforced v concrete columns and concrete walls. Work is expected to be completed com-pleted by October 5. A somewhat lower bid was suo-mitted suo-mitted by one of the four contractors contrac-tors who bid on e frame buUding, reported N. J. Crookston, county clerk. The two commissions, ad- vised by engineers, decided the I concrete structure would be worth more than the extra cost Bids were submitted on an alternative basis, with each bidder Invited to bid on wood, concrete and cinder block buildings. The successful bid exceeds the - $20,000 budgeted for the hangar and the difference will be made up by the city and county, Mr. Crookston Crook-ston said. Under budget plans, the state will contribute $10,000 and the city and county each $5000. |
