Show Cache Burglaries Cleared up Says Box Elder Sheriff BRIGHAM CITY Numerous j burglaries in northern Utah and southern Idaho were practically cleared up early Sunday when Owen Petersn, 19, of Tremonton, and Del Roy Andracsen, 22, of Brigham, were arrested by Burley, Idaho, police while allegedly engaged en-gaged in robbing Sender's Jewelry store at Burley. They were arrested ar-rested by Patrolman Ernest Robertson Ro-bertson after they had gained entrance en-trance to the store, the officer said. Sheriff Fred Sorensen, of Box Elder county returned from Burley, Bur-ley, Monday afternoon where he interviewed Peterson and Andrae-scn Andrae-scn Sunday night. Sheriff Sorensen said the men admitted the folowing burglaries: Emery Burns service station, J. C. Penney Company store, Gambles Gam-bles and Safeway stores, at Tremonton; Tre-monton; The Hollywood Candy company and the Merrcll Lumber & Hardware company at Brigham; a drug store, grovery store and pool hall at Wcllsville; a drug i store at Smithfield; Sears, R-oe-! buck & Co., C. C. Anderson Co., and the Studcbaker garage at Ogden. Og-den. Robberies admitted In Idaho, the sheriff said, were Gambles stores at Preston and Malad, and Scholer Jewelry store at Burley, where they were arrested. The defendants are being held at Burley on a burglary charge. Miss Thea Erickson spent the week end visiting at the home of Mrs. Roy Cargle at Ogden. |
