Show Nancy J. Smith Funeral services for Mrs. Nancy Jane Pitcher Smith, 85, resident of Smithfield since childhood, who died Sunday about 6:30 a. m. in a Logan hospital of infirmities incident inci-dent to age, were held Tuesday at 2 p. m. in the Smithfield First ward chapel. She was born March 3, 1860, in Blomington, Idaho,- a daughter of Wiliam and Julia Ann Hammer Smith. She was married to James D. Pitcher in the Salt Lake endowment en-dowment house. He died in 1930. A member of the church, she was active in primary and relief society work in the Smithfield First ward. Survivors include seven of her 12 sons and daughters: Mrs. Elizabeth Eliza-beth Meeks, and Edwin Pitcher, Southgate, California; Merlin Pitcher, Pit-cher, Pittsburg, (Pa., Mrs. Lavern Allen, Ogden; Mrs. Nora Seamons, Rupert, Idaho; Austin Pitcher and Mrs. Ireta Raymond, Smithfield; 35 grandchildren, several greatgrandchildren, great-grandchildren, one brother, Wells Smith, Amalga, and two sisters, ; Mrs. Nettie Woods, Driggs, Idaho and Mrs. Rhoda. Coleman, Smith-field. Smith-field. , Burial in the Smithfield cemetery ceme-tery was under direction of the W. Loyal Hall mortuary, Logan. |
