Show DATES SET FOR SIGNING OF PEA CONTRACTS A. W. Chambers has announced an-nounced Season Setup to Growers in This Section of State. Contracts for growing 1941 peas .have been negotiated between the "Utah State Canning Crops Association Asso-ciation and the Utah canners with a general -price rise of $4.02 per ton in all factory districts where .the tenderometer grading system will be used, and $3.61 per ton In the factories where the screen grading system is used. This represents re-presents a percentage rise' of 8 percent over 1940 schedule, according ac-cording to A. W. Chambers, president pre-sident of the Utah-Idaho Canning Crops Association. 'It is thought that in Cache Valley Val-ley the tenderometer grading system sys-tem will be much more uniform between growers and between viner stations with respect to quality delivered than the Juice press system that has been in operation op-eration in Cache Valley during the last ten years. Two years research re-search in Utah and Weber Counties Coun-ties and one year in Cache Valley Val-ley reveals a more direct correlation corre-lation between the peas as purchased pur-chased under the tenderometer system of grading and the re-sale value of the peas than any other system know. There will be ' a normal acTie of peas in Cache Valley an the state in 1941. A representative of the Utah-Idaho Utah-Idaho Canning Crops Association and the California Packing Corporation Cor-poration will be in the communities communi-ties ?cordin ..t; - thj schedule during March 10-20 to contract for the acreage desired in each district.
