Show PROGRAM OUTLINED FOR DAIRYMENS TOUR OF VALLEY - Plan to Visit Farms in South Cache on March 12 Day's Program Outlined. Presidents and testers of the Hyrum-Paradise, Wellsville- Men-don, Men-don, and College-Young cow testing test-ing associations and representatives of the three condensed milk factories fac-tories met with the county agents Saturday to outline their annual tour and meeting. The tour was planned for March 12 and an invitation in-vitation is extended to all members mem-bers of these three associations and other dairymen who can attend. at-tend. At 9 a.m, the group will assemble as-semble at O. L. Lee's farm at Paradise where they will see and study the results of snow fence silos and see Mr. Lee's herd. At William Richman's they will see ' his herd, pit silo, and find out about growing carrots. They will move to Andrew Leishman's in Wellsville and see the cooperative bull pen built by Morning Milk Company, the bull, Mr. Leishman's herd and barn. Henry B. Murray's Jersey herd will be visited. At Ernest Speth's in College ward the group will see his snow fence silo and a new type of feed rack built by Mr. Speth. A stop will be made at the farm of Andrew Nelson where he is feeding potatoes, po-tatoes, carrots, silage, and his herd will be seen. Lunch at noon will be served at the meeting house by the College ward people and paid for by the milk companies. Parley Murray, of Wellsville, will be in charge of a meeting in which George Q." Bateman will discuss feeds and pasture; Lyman Rich, will talk on cow testing work; there will be a discussion on the cooperative bull block by Claude Quinney, of the Morning Milk Company; and remarks by representatives rep-resentatives of the Borden and Sego milk companies. |
