Show I H YDEPARiTl : HYDE PARK The Fine Arts club met at the home of Mrs. Ruby Hurren, Wednesday evening. Mrs. Ruby Balls gave a review of the drama "East Lynne." Refreshments Refresh-ments were served to Erma Hum-phreys, Hum-phreys, Helen Lamb, Ruby ReedCr Verla Lamb, Ruby Balls. Eunice Ashcroft, Martha Dairies, Eulalia Gittins, Edna Christoffersen, Mae Lee and the hostess. Marnette Reeder returned lo her home Wednesday after being confined in a local hospital for Jive weeks. She was returned to the hospital Monday; following the tragic death of her father, Martin C. Reeder, in an automobile accident acci-dent in Lewiston. The second year 4-H Sewing group enjoyed a party at the home of Miss Edna Mae Balls. The party was to mark the completion com-pletion of the year's work. The leaders for the group are Miss Vila Hyde and Miss Anna Hancey. The girls competing the second year course include Maxine Lee, LaPaye Hancey, Marion Seamons, Georgcne Daines, Rhonda Thurston, Edna Mae Balls, Kathleen Klrby and Jeanine Balls. Miss Virginia Lee returned home Wednesday after spending a week visiting in Delta, at the hom n Mr. and "Mrs. Orlin Hunsaker. Mr. and Mrs. Willard Duce spent Thursday and Friday In Salt Lake City visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Duce. Mrs. Mildred Petersen entertained entertain-ed at a children's party Thusdaj afternoon in honor of her son, Milton who was observing his ninth birthday. Games were played on the lawn and luncheon was served to the following friends. Lew Balls, Robert Lamb, Don Iff, Owen Hancey, Robert Nielses, ' Florian Nielsen, Basil Lamb and ' Ferrill Balls. Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Lee and Miss Eva Lee motored to Ogden Saturday Satur-day where they attended the Mad-sen Mad-sen family reunion. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Brady lef. The evening was spent socially and refreshments were served to about 50 guests. Mrs. Hultze received re-ceived many useful gifts. Mr. and Mrs. R. C. McQuarrie of Clearfield called at the homes of Mr. and Mrs. R. S. McQuarrie and Mr .and Mrs. Allan McQuarrie, McQuar-rie, Friday. Orville S. Lee of Paradise gave a lecture on wild life in Utah and showed slides of Utah's natural i beauty which he took in the southern Utah parks at the home of Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Lee, Monday evening. Those in attendance were Mr. and Mrs. Lorin Lamb and family ; Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Humphreys Hum-phreys and daughters, Mrs. Florence Flor-ence Ashcroft and children, Miss Eunice Ashcroft, Miss Eva Lee and Mr. and Mrs. Ben Evans of Lo-i Lo-i gan. |
