Jones Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Lydia Wright Jones, 67, Newton Gold Star mother who died Wednesday Wed-nesday morning in the family home of a long illness, will be conducted Saturday at 1 p. m. in the Newton ward chapel by Le Roy Salisbury, bishop. Mrs. Jones was born January 17, 1S78 in Coalville, a daughter of Thomas and Annie Dale Wright. She was married to William R. Jones, January 9, 1902 ii. Ogden. He died in 1941. Survivors include two sons. W. Can- and John S. Jones, Newton, four grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Bertha Staples, Coalville, and a brother, John Wright, Evanston. Wyoming. A son, David Lloyd Jones was killed in action March 11, 1945 on Luzon, P. I. Friends may call at the family home this evening and Saturday until tune of services. Burial in Logan cemetery will be under direction dir-ection of the W. Loyal Hall Mortuary. Mor-tuary. Thonui Franklin Griffin Funeral services were conducted Thursday in Salt Lake City for Thoma Franklin Griffin. 71, native of Newton who died Monday at the family home in the state capitol of a year s illness. He was horn March 1. 1S74 in Newcon. a son of William H and Elizabeth T. Griffin. An active church member, he served in the Great Britain mission from 190S to 1910 and was a member of the high priests' quorum in the Salt Lake Thirteenth ward. He married Jennie Ballard December Dec-ember 6, 1S99 in the Logan temple. tem-ple. They lived in Newton until 1919 when they moved to Sal; Lake City. Survivors include his widow- si'? daughters.
