Show Navy Day to be Observed in Utah A fitting tribute to the fighting navy of the United States will be paid Saturday, October 27, in a nation-wide observance of Navy Day. Former Governor Charles R. Mabey, of Utah, is national vice-chairman vice-chairman of the organization. The vear of 1945 is victnrv venr for Navy Day. It pays homage to the greatest sea-air force ever assembled in the world a navy which was not only the greatest in the history of the United States, but greater than the combined forces of all nations at any time in their history. Navy Day has been celebrated annually since 1922. Throughout Utah, the day will be celebrated any convenient day within the week. (Although the official date is October 27, it will be celebrated in Salt Lake City in the largest Utah observance on October 26. |
