Show Public Welfare Report Issued A total of 772 cases received assistance amounting to $33,460 in Cache County in August 1944, Noble No-ble L. Chambers, director of the Cache county department of public pub-lic welfare, reported today. Both the number of cases and amount paid represented decreases from the previous month. Number of cases dropped 1.3 percent while payments were 2.6 ercent lower. Of the $33,460 issued recipients in Cache County in August, Mr. Chambers said, 80 percent was for old-age assistance; 12 percent for aid to dependent children; and six percent for unemployables on general relief. No payments were made for employables or transients during August 1944. |
