Show Services Held For Victim of Air Crash LEWISTON Beautiful and impressive funeral services were held in Lewiston First ward chapel chap-el for Harry Baer Merrill, who was killed Sunday when the airplane air-plane he was piloting crashed near Preston, Idaho, air port Bishop Dow Lewis was in charge. Choir sang "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere" led by Edward H. Kemp, Alta Harrison accompanist; accompan-ist; invocation by James Taggart; speakers were G. A. Hogan, H. H. Campbell, an officiator in Logan Lo-gan Temple; Robert Gibbons of Providence; vocal duet, "Beautiful "Beauti-ful Land," by Mr. and Mrs. George Williams, accompanist Alta Al-ta Harrison; vocal solo, "I'm a Pilgrim" by Merl Cunningham, accompanist Mrs. Merl Cunning- nam, closing remarks of appreciation appreci-ation for the life and service of Harry; to the service rendered to this community by Mr. and Mrs. Baer, Harry's grand parents. He also expressed the appreciation ef the family for services rendered them during Harry's death, and for the gift of beautiful flowers; choir sang "Lord Accept Our True Devotion"; clohtng prayer by President Saul E. Hyer. Interment in Providence cemetery. The speakers extended the deepest sympathy to the stricken mother and . grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Baer and their daughter Gwen; spoke of the youthful characteristic of Harry, he being of a happy, congenial disposition, full of life and ambition; am-bition; he had lived to make others happy; his heart being full of love and kindness for his his mother and his grand parents. The love and esteem of the people of our community was had for Harry, for his mother, Gwen and his grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. Baer, was shown in the beautiful display of flowrse, and the large congregation of people peo-ple gathered to pay their respects and offer their sympathy. The grand ' father, J. W. Baer, is superintendent of the Amalgamated Amalga-mated Sugar factory at Lewis-ton. Lewis-ton. The employees of that institution in-stitution came in a body to pay their respects to the man who is rendering them and their families famil-ies great service. The entire community com-munity extend their deepest sympathy sym-pathy to this family. |
