Show Three Wounded In War Action Three Cache county soldiers have been wounded in action in the various war theaters recently, according to word received by their parents. Private First Class Roland S. Hansen, son of Mr. and Mrs. John T. Hansen, of Smithfleld, was wounded in the Iwo Jima invasion. in-vasion. He enlisted with the Mormon Mor-mon battalion group of the U. S. marines September 16, 1942 and has been overseas for 29 months. Private First Class De Wayne H. Nyman, 23, of North Logan, whose wife, Mrs. Fern Olsen Nyman Ny-man is making her home in Mt. Pleasant, has been wounded seri- niislv in Tf.olw He was born June 17, 1922 in North Logan, a son of James and Sarah Miller Nyman. He entered the service in April, 1944, and has been overseas since November. Awaiting further word are his wife, two brothers, Sergeant Lloyd Nyman, with the armed forces in India; Private Harvey ' Nyman, Camp Stoneman, Cal., and three sisters: Mrs. Mardeen N." Johnson Private First Class Carl W.Moon, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Moon of Hyrum, was wounded in Action in the Philippines area and. now is receiving treatment in a base hospital. He is a member of the 27th infantry. |
