Flower Seed Trials Planned To determine the possibility of producing flower seeds in Utah, flower seed trials will be conducted con-ducted at the Farmington exper. iment farm during the summer months, Dr. L. H. Pollard, associate asso-ciate professor of vegetable crops at Utah State Agricultural college reported Wednesday. Purpose of the experiment is to determine whether flower seed can be produced in Utah economically, eco-nomically, Dr. Pollard said. If studies reveal that the seed can be produced, there is promise that considerable acreage would be planted to such crops in the future. Zinnia, Aster, Fortulaca, Calvia, Petunia and snapdragons, will be planted on a limited acreage. |
