Show Students from j Eight Colleges Expected at Meet More than 75 students from ! eight intermountain colleges will convene on the campus of the an- ' nual session of the Rocky Moun- j tain Forensic League on October 30, 31, and November 1, Professor Evan B. Murray USAC debate i coach and league president stated j Wednesday. j First general session will be devoted de-voted to an analysis of the eight i topics selected for discussion at the meet, Professor Murray said. One student from each school attend-ing attend-ing the conference will discuss the topic assigned to the school he is representing. A student from each college will be a member of eight committee meetings prior to general gen-eral assemblies, Professor Murray explained. Denver University's delegate will discuss "The Neutrality Act;" Colorado Col-orado university, "Price Control Legislation"; University of Utah, "Financing the Defense Program"; Montana State College, "Freedom of Expression in the Present Emergency"; Emer-gency"; Wyoming University, "Tlie Internal Transportation Problem of the United States"; Colorado State college, "American Agriculture Agricul-ture During the Next Decade"; Brigham Young ' University, "The Place of Liberal Arts in the American Am-erican Educational Program"; and the host school, Utah State, "Labor "La-bor and National Defense." Oratory, extempore speaking and after-dinner speaking contests will also be included among the events of the meet. After-dinner subject wall be "Shall we Shoot the Elephant" Ele-phant" while the extempore speaking speak-ing topics are "Inflation", "Private Industry vs. Total War," and "America's "Am-erica's Post-war Peace Aims." Following the first session Octo-j Octo-j ber 30 will be the committee , meetings, Professor Murray ex-' ex-' plained, where one student from each college will be assigned to a committee which will consider one topic and present a resolution to the entire group of delegates. The group of delegates will form a legislative session for the remainder remain-der of the conference.
