Show Utahn's to Aid ' With Gardens A nationwide campaign to aid in reaching food goals through an expanded victory garden program will receive full cooperation in Utah, Dr. Arvil L. Stark, horticulturist horticul-turist for the Utah Agricultural Extension service and state victory garden committee chairman, announced. an-nounced. The War Food Administration goals call for planting 22 million victory gardens of all types and sizes, an increase of nearly 2 mil- j ion more than were planted last year, he said. This will mean planting of 16 million urban and rural gardens and six million farm gardens. Persons interested in producing a victory garden this year and who would like information on the best vegetables to grow, how to grow them and the best methods of planting and cultivation, are invited to write to the Utah Extension Ex-tension service at Logan for Dr. Stark's new bulletin, "Profits in Gardening," or they may obtain a copy, free of charge, from tha county agent's offics in the courthouse. |
