Show Officer Explains Army Recruiting Enlistment or reenlistment in the Regular army is not limited to men 17 through 34 years of age. Men 35 and over who have I had sufficient prior military service ser-vice are also eligible for reenlistment reenlist-ment according to Lieutenant Robert Rob-ert J. Green, of Logan, sub-station commander. The new armed forces voluntary volun-tary recruitment act of 1945 extends ex-tends the benefits of enlistment in j the regular army to physically qualified" men in this higher age bracket provided they have had prior army service in accordance with the following: 35 under 36 3 months; 36 under 37 1 year; 7 under 382 years; 38 under 39 3 years; 39 under 40 4 years; 40 and over 5 years. Men 35 and over now serving in the army and performing full military duty may enlist in the regular army regardless of the length of prior army service. These men should apply to the recruiting officer within their own organization for discharge for the curpose of immediate re-enlistt-ment. They reenter the service as regular army, volunteers without actual separation from the service. |
