Show Herd Grading Program in Utah To aid stockmen of the state in their herd improvement programs, pro-grams, the Utah State Extension service has graded nearly 3000 bulls throughout the state since Jan. 1. according to George Henderson. Hender-son. Utah extension animal hus- buudman, who is in charge ot the grading. Grading has been done at the request of grazing associations and breeders, iFrof. Henderson said. Forty-nine associations, representing represent-ing nearly even- county in Utah, have been benefited by the ser. vice. s Purebred bulls raised for sale have also been graded in fiv communities. This is a part of the extension services' educational plan to help stockmen select good sires, that the quality of herds on Utah ranges mc.y be improved, and economic returns increased. |
