Show "Plant hybrid corn and do it now!" was the advice offered this week by Professor Aaron F. Bracken, Brack-en, extension agronomist, to Utah farmers whose alfalfa fields have been winter killed. "Corn has a lot of food value, even when not made into silage but stacked dry," Professor Pro-fessor Bracken states. The heavy winter has consumed the hay supply sup-ply almost entirely and an acute shortage will result if the winter killed alfalfa fields are not plowed now and planted in corn or some other crop, that will supplement the livestock, food supply. |
