Show The following men from Smithfield, have been recently released from various branches of the armed forces: Ralph Weeks, Arlon Van Or-flon Or-flon T.lnvd Barker. LeRoy Gyl- lens'kog, Paul Meikle, Norman Hansen) Robert Nielson, Ralph Merrill, Jefferson Stowell, Roland Ro-land Mather, Gerald Noble, Ter-' Ter-' ranee Draper, Gerald Gyilenskog, Daniel Perkins, Dean Corbridge, Glen Downs. The Smithfield Stake Board Relief Society entertained Thursday Thurs-day evening at the home o Mrs. F. L. Allen in honor of Mrs. La Grande Gunnell and Mrs. Jean Lundquist who are retiring from th Stake Board. Mrs. Raymond Cannon ot Logan reviewed re-viewed the book "Chicken Every Sunday," by Mildred Heinrich. Luncheon was served by the hostess to the two special guests and sixteen board members. Mrs. Lundquist and Mrs. Gunnell were presented with a gift. The Ladies Literary Club met Thursday afternoon at the home 'Of Mrs. A. D. Weeks. Mrs. I. V. LarBen reviewed the book "Land I Have Chosen," by Ellin Berlin. Sjecial guest was Mrs. Wiliam Petty. Tea was served by the hostess assisted by her daughter, Mrs. Dean Bishoff, to fourteen club members and the special guest Mrs. Petty. Mrs. G- L-Rees L-Rees will entertain the club at hr home November 29 th. Mrs. Orin Porter and two daughters of Esclante are the nests of Mr. and Mrs. William Moosman. Mrs. Porter Is the dauguhter of Mr. Moosman. From Huntington Park, California, Cali-fornia, came Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Wilkinson to visit Mr. and Mrs. Roy Smith. Misses Ruth and Lois GyllRi-og GyllRi-og spent the week end in Ogden and Salt Lake. |
